Biography

Autobiography Protopriest Andrey Pirogov I was born on Dezember 8, 1977 in Dniepropetrovsk in the family of doctors. In 1980 my parents and I moved to the town of Melitopol, Zaporozhye region. Since my childhood I began to attend Ortodox church. At  the age of 10 I began to go to the Sunday school at St. Alexander Nevskiy Cathedral in Melitopol.

In 1995 I finished Melitopol gymnasia-lyceum № 5.

In 1996 I entered Odessa Ecclesiastical seminary. I graduated  from it in 2000. On February 20, 2001 I was ordained deacon and on February 25, 2001 I was ordained the priest by Archbishop of  Zaporozhye and Melitopol Vasiliy (Zlatolinsky). 

From  April 2, to Dezember 11, 2001 I served as the Dean of Svyato-Panteleymon church in the village of Malaya Belosiorka, Vasilievka district, Zaporozhye region.

From Dezember 11, 2001 to 15 November, 2002 I opened parishes in the villages Danilo-Ivanovka and Mordvinovka Melitopol district, Zaporozhye region.

From 30 January to 17 Dezember, 2002 I served as the Dean of Svyato-Nikolsky hospital church in Melitopol. In April 2002 I was busi opening Svyato-Uspensky church in Melitopol. I remained the Dean of this church up to June 2004. 

From  June 7 to August 30, 2004 I served the Dean of Svyato-Vladimir church in Volnyansk , Zaporozhye region.

From August 30, 2004 I served as the Dean of Svyato- Nikolsky hospital church at city hospital №2 and as the Dean of  St.Luka Crymskiy chapel at the  city hospital №1 in Melitopol. On Oktober 26, 2004 I was appointed the Dean of Melitopol hospital churches and began to build Svyato- Panteleymon church.

On April 10, 2006 I was appointed Rural Dean of hospital parishes in Melitopol.

On November 15, 2008 I  was released from obedience of performing the duties of Rural Dean and appointed the Dean of Melitopol hospital churches.

Family:

The wife:Tatyana Sergeyevna Pirogova was born in 1979. She is the choirmaster now.

The son: Alexey Pirogov was born in 2002.

Church Rewards:

-    On  5 May, 2002 I was rewarded by the epigonation by the Easter.

-    On  15 April ,2004  I was rewarded by the kamelavchion.

-    On 11 January, 2006 I was rewarded by the order  of St. Agapith  Pechersky of II  degree.

-    On 23 April, 2006 I was rewarded by the pectoral cross.

-    On 10 January, 2007 I was rewarded by the order of  St. Apostolus  Andrey  Pervozvanny.

-    On April 11,2007 I was rewarded by the Protopriest title by the Easter.
